Daniel was born in Boulder, and graduated from Boulder High School. He attended Front Range Community College and the University of Colorado where he studied history, Eastern philosophy and religion.

He traveled widely, furthering his knowledge of history while always expanding his world view. A student of martial arts for a number years, he had achieved his black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu.

Daniel seemed a bit shy, at first... but his enthusiasm for Kung Fu and for other things that I, myself, enjoy... like history, culture, heroes, comic books... made it truly fun to chat with him. I will miss him.
